Privacy
HamTest is a personal, non-commercial study aid. This page explains, plainly, what we store and how it's used. Short version: we don't sell or share your data, and your email is only ever used to sign you in.
Your email
Your email address is used only to log you in and to send you account emails you have triggered yourself — confirming your address and resetting your password. It is never sold, shared, used for marketing, or given to any third party.
Your performance data
Your answers, scores and study statistics are used to power your own dashboard, progress charts, exam practice and study suggestions. Your individual results are never shared or sold and are not shown to other users.
We may compile aggregated, anonymised statistics — for example overall activity levels or which syllabus topics learners tend to find hardest — for reporting and to improve the question bank. Aggregated figures never identify you or reveal any individual's results.
Optional AI study advice
If you choose to press “Get AI study advice”, a summary of your weak areas and a few of the questions you recently answered incorrectly are sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter) to generate personalised suggestions. This only happens when you click that button — if you'd rather nothing left the site, simply don't use it.
Security & anti-abuse
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text. You may also register a passkey to sign in without a password. To prevent automated abuse and scraping of the question bank, we briefly record the IP address of requests for rate-limiting; these records are automatically deleted after about a day.
Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. There is no third-party tracking, advertising or analytics.
Keeping & deleting your data
Accounts that are never confirmed are automatically removed after a short period. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact the site administrator.
