Source code compiles under gcc on linux or windows and requires xAP-lib, which can be downloaded from here. If compiling under windows, try the excellent cygwin package.

All windows executables require a copy of the cygwin dll, which can be downloaded from here. If you happen to have a different version of cygwin installed to the one I used to build these applications, download the copy of the dll from this site and drop it into the local application directory. If running multiple applications on the same pc, you must first run a xAP hub. There are several hubs available, it doesn’t matter which you use. Mine can be found here.

Disclaimer: The code presented here is most definitely not of production quality (and as the result, the ex-professional programmer in me is slightly ashamed to publish it). With more holes than a colander, it was written - quick and dirty style - to scratch an itch. The apps are, however, “good enough” in the sense that they work reliably for me. That doesn’t mean they will necessarily do the same for you! Think of this stuff as a rough-and-ready proof of concept and you’ll be alright...
