Do you want to integrate a 1-Wire  Weather station with Homeseer?

This plug-in could be the answer.

The 1-wire weather station is a low cost domestic  weather station, originally manufactured by Dallas semiconductors  (www.ibutton.com/weather) as a proof-of-concept/promotional giveaway for their  1-wire semiconductor devices and subsequently sold by AAG (www.aag.com.mx/weather.html). The weather station is capable of recording wind  speed, wind direction, air temperature, and optionally, rainfall. It is also possible to add humidity and lux sensors to the system, but these are not  supported by the plug-in (since I have been unable to source them at reasonable cost). Free or shareware software to interface to the 1-wire weather station is available from a number of sources. Perhaps the best known is Arne S.  Henriksen’s WeatherServer (http://weather.henriksens.net) software which is  compatible with both the original and revised versions of the weather station. Henriksen’s server software broadcasts data collected from the weather station on the local subnet. Henriksen’s software works on Win/32 platforms; Simon J. Melhuish (http://www.simon.melhuish.net/projects/oww/) has also written a freeware weather server for Linux which broadcasts data in the same format as the Henriksen server. The 1-wire weather station plug-in for Homeseer will receive broadcasts from either of the above packages and make that information available to Homeseer. Homeseer is home automation software written by Homeseer Technologies. For more information on their products, refer to: http://www.homeseer.com

Features

The plug-in presents  average and peak measurements for:

  • Windspeed
  • Wind direction
  • Air temperature
  • Rainfall

...to Homeseer. This information can be used, for example, as the basis for  adaptive control of central heating systems or garden watering systems.

Licence Terms

This plug-in is made available as freeware for non-commercial use by me, Patrick Lidstone. It may not be repackaged, redistributed (including ftp mirrors and e-mail) or resold. The software is supplied without warranty, and you use it  at your own risk.

Support

Sorry, but I am no longer able to offer support for this plug-in. However, the plug-in has many happy users out there in forum land, and they may be able to help.
