A xAP Bridge is use to connect two networks of different media types. For example, the LAN-serial bridge will interconnect a xAP local area (TCP/IP) network with an RS232 serial network such as that used by a PIC, and pass data bi-directionally between the two.
A xAP Bridge may either be run on a dedicated host, or, if multiple xAP applications are running on the host, the bridge can connect to a hub in the same way any other xAP enabled application might share resources.
